Propilot for ChatGPT and Claude

Propilot connects to ChatGPT and Claude so you can manage your rental portfolio in plain language. Ask about your properties, review rental applications, run screening, and create applicant links — without leaving your AI assistant.

The connector uses your own Propilot account. Everything you see and change through ChatGPT or Claude is limited to what your Propilot account can already see and change.

What Propilot can access

When you connect Propilot, the assistant can use these capabilities on your behalf:

Read access

• List your properties and view property details
• List units for a property
• List tenants
• List rental applications and view application details, including screening information

Write access (the assistant asks for your confirmation before making changes)

• Create application links to send to prospective tenants
• Update a rental application’s status or decision
• Run pre-screening on an application
• Run full screening on an application

Rental applications can contain personal, financial, and employment information supplied by applicants. That data is only visible to the Propilot account that owns it, and only after you sign in and approve the connection.

How to connect

ChatGPT

1. Open the Propilot app from the ChatGPT app directory, or ask ChatGPT for Propilot.
2. When prompted, choose Connect and sign in with your Propilot account.
3. Approve the requested access. Propilot tools are then available in your conversations.

Claude

1. Open claude.ai → Settings → Connectors, find Propilot in the directory, and choose Connect.
2. Sign in with your Propilot account and approve the requested access.
3. In a chat, open the + menu → Connectors and enable Propilot for that conversation.

Advanced: custom connector and Claude Code

Propilot is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. If your plan supports custom connectors, or you use Claude Code, you can connect directly with the server URL:

Authentication is OAuth — you sign in with your Propilot account; there is no API key to manage.

How to disconnect

• ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Propilot → disconnect or remove.
• Claude: Settings → Connectors → Propilot → disconnect or remove.

Disconnecting revokes the assistant’s access tokens. If you want us to invalidate access on the server side as well, contact support@propilot.tech and we will revoke all connector tokens for your account.

Security and data handling

• Your account, your data. Access is scoped to the Propilot account you sign in with. The connector cannot read other landlords’ or property managers’ data.
• OAuth sign-in. Connections use OAuth 2.1 with your Propilot login. Your password is never shared with ChatGPT or Claude.
• Confirmation before changes. Actions that change data (screening, application decisions, application links) require your confirmation in the assistant before they run.
• No conversation collection. Propilot only receives the specific tool requests the assistant makes on your behalf — never your full ChatGPT or Claude conversations.
